250 g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
100 g butter, cold, cubed
120 g grated cheese (cheddar, emmental or mix)
120 g milk
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp grated cheese
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp poppy seeds
Place flour, baking powder, salt and butter into mixing bowl.
Mix 10 sec / speed 6 until crumb-like.
Add grated cheese and milk.
Knead 2 min / dough mode.
Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface.
Roll out to approx. 5 mm thickness.
Cut into strips (about 1–1.5 cm wide).
Place sticks on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Brush with beaten egg.
Sprinkle evenly with grated cheese, sesame seeds and poppy seeds.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (fan 170°C) for
20–25 minutes, until golden and crisp.
Cool slightly on a rack.
Serve warm or cold.
Use parmesan for extra crunch
Add paprika or garlic powder to the dough for flavour
Keep in an airtight container for up to 2 days

250 g wholemeal flour
200 g natural yogurt (unsweetened, full-fat or Greek-style)
✔ No yeast
✔ No sugar
✔ No oil
✔ Low GI, high fibre
Place wholemeal flour and yogurt into mixing bowl.
Mix 10 sec / speed 5.
Scrape down sides.
Knead 1 min / dough mode.
Dough should be soft but not sticky.
(If needed, add 1 tbsp flour.)
Transfer dough onto a lightly floured surface.
Divide into 6 equal pieces.
Shape into rolls and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Optional: lightly dust with wholemeal flour.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (fan 180°C) for
18–22 minutes, until lightly golden and firm.
Cool slightly on a rack before serving.
Best paired with protein (eggs, cheese, chicken, hummus)
Avoid honey or sweet toppings
Can add seeds (flax, chia, sesame) for extra fibre (optional)
Keeps fresh 1 day, freezes very well
